Residents from TLC Aged Care’s three Geelong homes in Armstrong Creek, Belmont and Wallington, along with members of Geelong’s seniors’ community, will take part in a flash mob at Westfield Geelong Level 1 Food Court at 2.30pm on Wednesday, 27 September.
In the lead-up to the Victorian Seniors’ Festival 2023 and Greater Geelong’s Positive Aging events program in October, TLC Aged Care will help demonstrate the importance of ageing positively, and what better way to showcase this than through a seniors’ flash mob?
TLC CEO, Lou Pascuzzi is committed to providing aged care environments where residents can live their best lives.
“I’m thrilled we have over 50 participants of all abilities, from wheelchairs to walkers, and everything in between, at this all-inclusive flash mob. It’s going to be an amazing event.
“Everyone’s rehearsing, learning the steps and choreography, and having an absolute ball with each other in the process. We can’t wait to see everything come together at Westfield Geelong on the 27th”, says Pascuzzi.
Flash mob brainchild, TLC Wellbeing Services Manager, Megan Wood, added “We’re used to engaging our residents with exciting social activities that are tailored to their hobbies and interests. Our flash mob is an inclusive and fun extension of this and a great example of positive ageing for all abilities.”
TLC’s flash mob will also highlight an extra special ‘Normie Rowe in Concert’ the following week on Tuesday, 3 October, presented by TLC Healthcare and The Greater City of Geelong, as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival 2023.
