TLC Healthcare is proud to announce the commencement of its $27m Belmont healthcare precinct redevelopment.
The extensive renovation will feature the addition of 15 new, opulent suites, boasting separate loungerooms and bedrooms, kitchenettes, luxurious ensuites and private balconies.
The aged care residence will also feature the latest in technology to support resident safety and comfort, including sensor radar fall detection in every suite.
Furthermore, the facility will be equipped with a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool, and a fully furnished gymnasium with the highest quality equipment. The second level will also offer elevated landscaped spaces for enhanced leisure and relaxation.
The popular Belmont Medical Centre, co-located with the aged care residence, will also be redeveloped entirely and will feature additional consulting suites, and expanded allied health services, including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, podiatry and dietetics, serving residents of the aged care home and the local, loyal Geelong community.
Inspired by the art deco period, when life was for living, TLC’s redevelopment will be a popular choice for residents seeking the ultimate in aged care, and for community members who are visiting their GP or booking an appointment for a range of allied health services.
Lou Pascuzzi, CEO of TLC Healthcare, expressed his enthusiasm for this transformative phase, marking the Belmont redevelopment as the premier integrated aged care, medical centre and healthcare precinct in the Geelong region.
“This development aligns seamlessly with TLC Healthcare’s commitment to excellence, complementing our existing healthcare precincts: Warralily Gardens in Armstrong Creek and Homestead Estate in Wallington. All TLC aged care residences are co-located with community medical centres and allied health services, catering to both their residents and local Geelong communities.
TLC Healthcare’s ongoing dedication and investment in the Geelong, Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula communities is further illustrated by longstanding sponsorships with both large and small community organisations including the Royal Geelong Yacht Club and Armstrong United Football Club, underscoring TLC Healthcare’s commitment to fostering community well-being.
“It’s incredible seeing our Geelong aged care residents out on the bay or watching a local soccer game. We’re here for living life”, Pascuzzi added.
TLC operates residential aged care homes, medical centres and registered training facilities located across Melbourne and Geelong. In 2023, TLC opened Australia’s first multi-generational healthcare precinct in the Melbourne suburb of Mordialloc, offering 147 residential aged care places, a community medical centre, a 118-place early learning centre, a commercial health club with 20m indoor swimming pool, and commercial café known as “The Village Café”; all in the one location.
